Another find from a local electronics recycling center. This is a kit based o-scope from the United Electronics Institute. It was built by students of the Unit Electronic Laboratories in Louisville, Kentucky. UEL existed from the late 1940s thru the early 1970s. UEL was later renamed UEI. The tubes used are 3RP1, 6BH11 and 5965. HeathKit offered the “301” with an identical front panel.
In this video we take a quick look, it has component and mechanical issues I need to sort out. In a future video I’ll recap it and see if we can get a trace on the little CRT.
